Out of the Cold is an interfaith program started in 1987 by Sister Susan Moran, and a group of students from St. Michael's School. Both the students and Sister Moran wanted to create a way they could help out the homeless in Toronto. With the help of a Synagogue and a church, they were able to setup a temporary homeless shelter that would operate once a week. The program has since grown, and currently 19 faith groups are involved in the program.
