Each week up to 9,000 individuals receive 3-4 day food supplements from one of the Greater Vancouver Food Bank's 18 distribution depots, with 39% of the recipients being children and 40% families. The CVFB offers food support to over 100 meal providing agencies, creating 16,000 meals each week.Agencies supported by the GVFBS include: missions, drop in centers, soup kitchens, AIDS service organizations , youth and women’s shelters, community kitchens, mental health agencies, and children’s programs.
