Daily Bread Food Bank is a food bank which provides food to thousands of families across Toronto each week. Donations come from the public and the food industry. This food bank organizes three major food drives in spring,fall and winter. The DBFB also relies on the food and consumer products industries, which donates 80% of the food they receive. Once packaged, food donations are sent to over 190 food programs in agencies across Toronto, including neighbourhood food banks, lunch programs for children, drop-in centres, shelters and perinatal nutrition programs. The DBFB also writes reports, media releases and educational materials in order to increasepublic awareness and political responsiveness to the issues of hunger and poverty in Toronto.
