Promote dignity: Help a fellow Canadian
ECP's homepage from Fall 2005 to Fall 2006
EndCanadianPoverty.ca (ECP) is a volunteer effort of two Torontonians who believe in the worth of all people. We are troubled by the consistently large number of Canadians who struggle to obtain basic human necessities such as safe shelter and adequate amounts of nutritious food, and we would like to contribute to alleviating these inequalities in Canada. The ECP website is our means of acting on this wish: we hope to provide information that can be useful not only for those seeking poverty-oriented services in Canada, but also for those who would like to help Canadians in need through donations of time or money. We also hope that our links to poverty-oriented news stories will help to inform website visitors about both the progress being made on reducing poverty in Canada and the need to continue efforts to reduce social inequality.
